Why quit the emotional harassment at the workplace?

The workplace is the place we spend almost 48 hours a week, which is the longest duration where we are engaged with doing something that is productive and beneficial for society. Irrespective of which sector or what job profile a person works in, every individual who is having a job is contributing to society’s betterment in some or another way.

How to stay away from anxiety at the workplace

So, we meet different types of people at our workplace who belong to different family backgrounds, cultures, traditions, races, gender, educational qualification, and work experiences. At times, we get someone with whom we share similar interests in real life or work life and would like to bond in our tea breaks and even on some holidays. However, the majority of the time, we always get to meet that ONE ENEMY in our office who is just jealous of our progress in personal and professional life and thus, tries all types of manipulative acts in front and behind us.

Jatin Sial: In a patriarchal society, men often can’t afford family time in their prime

If the action against us is a one-time or two-time activity in a month or few months, then we are able to tolerate the same and ignore their behavior so that we can focus on our work and move on. However, if that ONE ENEMY is our immediate boss or team leader, then LIFE BECOMES A HELL REALLY. And I have experienced this in every workplace that I was a part of.

I was literally manipulated emotionally so many times that I can’t have even a count of the same. My nature of being a soft-spoken and kind person was taken advantage of so many times that I just had to call it quits in every organization I worked in. I couldn’t tolerate the verbal and emotional abuse that came with the work for a longer duration. When a person is quiet by nature and doesn’t know to manipulate or nag others or put others down, it doesn’t mean anyone has any right to make their life a hell. It is better to quit and search for a better healthy workplace than die every day at the hands of emotional abusers.
