Google, an amazing technology company has come up with an interesting feature called People Cards that allows ordinary people of India to create a digital identity card on Google search. It is a very simple process, all you have to do is log in to Google Chrome or Google app from your smartphone from your existing Gmail account that has your real identity.

You need to enter “add me to search” and there you will get guidelines of how you can add your people card with your important and real information on Google. The People Card will allow people on the search engine to search you by your name and get a snippet of where you are working and what are your accomplishments.

Remember that you need to enter only the real information about you, like your full name, workplace, designation, website name (if any), mobile no., email id, hometown, current place, etc. Your photo should be the real you and not of some imaginary stuff. You need to present your real identity to the public through the People Card and thus, make sure you write only the correct information because if Google finds out that you are faking your details then it will remove you from the search results.
You can edit your people card on a timely basis like if you change your occupation or job then ensure to edit the card and keep it updated. If the People Card is inactive for a long time, then also there are chances of it getting removed from the search results. After you have added your details, wait for some hours till you get your snippet available for public view.
It is a really good initiative by Google to come up with such a virtual visiting card for people to appear on search and also search about others on Google.
