Tripura Exam Discrepancy: 99% Students Passed

A top officer said that on Wednesday the Tripura Secondary Education Board (TBSE) decided to pass nearly all candidates who had been enrolled this year for the Madhyamik and high school examinations. According to Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, the Tripura government has asked the state education board to evaluate the findings and determine any inconsistency.

According to the notification made on Wednesday, approximately 99 per cent of candidates passed both board examinations. “Almost all Madhyamik and Higher Secondary candidates would be promoted,” TBSE president Bhavatosh Saha told reporters today. The decision was made after considering the results as well as the students’ protests and other factors. We asked instructors in all eight districts to double-check their grades.

Mr. Nath has informed media, because Board Examinations were unable to take place this year owing to the COVID-19 issue, that the TBSE published secondary, higher secondary results based on a student review method of a ten Member Expert Committee.

The evaluation procedure considered students’ achievement on the initial class test, and each candidate’s assessment report came from their schools. The government asked the Board to analyse the data to determine any mistakes because many students were unhappy with their performance. Students who passed the test but were not happy with their findings were requested until 23 August to sign up for a second assessment. He stated that their tests would be held in September.
