Well, this article comes from a sincere student who has consistently scored between 60% to 70% in most of her exams from school to college and higher-education studies. I was in class 8 and entered the classroom which had only 2 more students present in our class of 60 who had gone to an official picnic that day. My class teacher asked me why didn’t I go and I said I come from a conservative family so my overprotective parents were not confident of sending me with others to an unexplored place.
Failed in exams? Tips to stay focused to study well
My teacher said that this is the last day of the class 8 school and gave us homework to do during our 3 months vacation that comes from April to June every year. We were asked to write tables and essays to improve our language and mathematics skills. During those 3 months, I used to sincerely complete the given homework thinking that it is a must. I am sure many students do their homework who are committed to their studies. While there were many of my friends who said they were touring some places with their family and relatives in those vacations.
Teachers barred from bringing their wards to school
Class 9’s first day started and I was all enthusiastic to show my homework to the new teacher of my new class. But she seemed to not check our books and instead start introducing us to the new subjects of the new class. One of my friends told me, “See, I had told you that homework is of no use, no one checks it in higher-grade classes.” But I was my sincere best and didn’t feel bad either for her comments.
It was again the last day of class 9 and we were given the homework to do in vacation and I sincerely completed that as well during those 3 months break before class 10 started. But again when my teacher of the new class didn’t ask or check for it, I didn’t lose hope and thought that I did what I was asked to do, rest it doesn’t matter if no one is seeing it or seeing it.
Today, when I am working as a writer, I realize that being sincere has helped me so much that I could pass all the academic exams and even get good jobs during my professional career, thanks to the language and arithmetic skills that were polished unknowingly even when schools were closed during vacations. Sincerity always pays off, if not immediately then surely later!
