New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has told universities on Wednesday that the new academic session could start in September and the enrollment process could begin in August due to the corona virus epidemic. At the same time, the UGC has asked the universities in view of the corona virus and lockdown that the examination for the final semester students will be held in July.

Let me tell you, due to the lockdown, educational institutions across the country are closed, due to which all the activities are at a standstill.

Further UGC has stated that the students with intermediate semester will be graded based on the internal assessment of the current and previous semester. Also, in the states where the status of Covid-19 has become normal, there will be examination in the month of July. This examination will be conducted in terminal semester students.

The university has also been asked to keep details of employees and students traveling during the lockdown period. Apart from this, a study pattern can be made six days a week. At the same time, six months extension will be given to the students of MPhil and PhD, while more will be taken through Viva-voice video conference. The Commission has also clarified that these guidelines have been given in the form of advice to universities. The university can also design its own in view of the corona virus epidemic.
