How To Deal With It?
Being a parent or aware citizen, it’s a responsibility to encourage the positive and responsible use of social media platforms that controls the negative or harsh impact on teens.
- Set some reasonable time for your children to use social media. It prevents them from getting involved in a social media use habit.
- Regularly monitor the accounts of your teens and guide them to the positive use of social media.
- Talk with your teens and explain to them the things that are not OK such as spreading rumors, bullying, gossiping, and sharing negativity.
- Don’t make yourself vulnerable for your child. Contact them face to face, ask them about their days and activities; it makes a bond and helps your child to limit the use of social media.
- Encourage social connectivity as it helps them to face the real world.
