Lucknow: IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow witnessed a landmark celebration on the occasion of 15th Convocation Ceremony on January 16, 2021 and conferred diplomas and certificates to the Graduating Batch of PGDM & MBA.
The Convocation began with the invocation ceremony, and was declared open by Dr. Naela Rushdi, Director IILM Lucknow.
The ceremony was graced by the august presence of Chief Guest Prof. Bharat Bhaskar, Director, IIM Raipur. As the Chief Guest of the e-Convocation, Prof. Bharat Bhaskar awarded the AICTE Approved Post-Graduate Diploma in Management to PGDM students & Certificate of Completion to MBA students and delivered the Convocation Address.
Dr. Naela Rushdi, Director, IILM, Lucknow in her welcome address welcomed all the guests, awardees, parents and students. She described in detail the value additions which IILM is continuously doing for its students in the two years of professional education, which has resulted in achievement of excellent placements of IILM students in good corporate houses as well as development of the overall personality and skills of the students to face the challenges of the real world. She also presented the brief report for the academic session 2019-20. She also mentioned how the college has successfully placed students, inspite of pandemic situation.
After two years of strenuous schedules and academic rigor 128 students of PGDM and MBA received their graduating certificates and medals, displaying a sense of pride and nostalgia. In the ceremony, as a mark of academic excellence in PGDM Programme, Juhi Shukla was awarded with Shri Kulwant Rai Gold Medal, Rashmi Yadav was awarded with Chairperson’s Silver Medal and Nimisha Jaya was awarded with Director’s Bronze Medal. While from MBA Batch, Nabhjeet Kaur was awarded with Shri Kulwant Rai Gold Medal, Sarika Kesharwani was awarded with Chairperson’s Silver Medal and Shoumee Bose was awarded with Director’s Bronze Medal.
Arpit Pandey & Divya Saxena was selected as the Best SCOP Members for their notable work in Students Committee of Placements (SCOP).
Prof. Bharat Bhaskar in his address congratulated all the graduating students. He appreciated the efforts of parents and faculty members of IILM in the success of the students. He encouraged graduating students by saying that a Universe of opportunities is waiting for you. You have to lead the fast growing Indian economy in the coming years. In this era of technology you all need to be self smart and people smart. Too much use of technology and Internet should not distract you from your future goal.
In the ceremony, the Best Faculty & Best Mentor Award was given to Dr. Mohit Kumar, Associate Professor and Staff Excellence Award was given to Mr. Vivek Kashyap, Accounts Officer.
Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Dean Academics welcomed the guests and presented the students for the award of diploma. Dr. Mohit Kumar, Associate Professor, IILM, Lucknow presented the vote of thanks.
