Due to coronavirus pandemic, as schools and colleges are closed, exams are being held online all over the world.
The move to shut down the schools and colleges came in order to reduce the spread of the deadly virus among the students.
However, online exams are also posing new risks and threats. Some professors who were part of college level exams doubt the credibility of the results of such online exams.
They feel sending question papers through WhatsApp or email to the students and getting answers in such a manner, can lead to more number of copying answers from search engines and cheating in exams.
This is unfair to students who gave the exams with utmost sincerity.
Faculty feels that even if students are given tricky questions, they are able to give the right answers by looking at the books and online search engines.
Conducting online exams has become an exercise just to document the scores of the students and has no real learning value, feels many professors.
Many students, parents and teachers feel that such exams are just a waste of time and should not be conducted only.
