A group of 30 principals from the government schools of Delhi will be trained for 8 days at the University of Cambridge.

The Delhi Government has been working rigorously towards the betterment of the Education system in the capital city by adopting different methods and raising education standards. A new group consisting 30 school principals from Delhi accompanied by some education department officials are being sent for special training to the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, starting next week. These school principals will undergo a  leadership training program at Cambridge University to acquaint themselves with some of the finest educational practices being followed by the UK schools leading to professional enrichment.

These trainings have been taking place for many years now and this is 2022’s second batch of teachers attending it this year.

The primary intention behind the commencement of these leadership training is to allow international exposure to school teachers of government schools on how they can make best use of digitization and use technology to their advantage in classroom practices, also teaching leadership skills, management skills used by the teachers in the other parts of the World for integrated development of students.

The Education minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia has a message for the school teachers attending the training. He has asked the principals to go with an open mind to soak up all the knowledge and their best practices, that can be later implemented in Delhi helping government schools to develop to international standards.

To date 400 principals, teachers and other members of the education department have visited Cambridge University for this training. The Delhi government has associations with other countries as well for these programs and some teachers have been sent to countries like Finland and  Singapore as well.
