Weekend lockdown imposed in all urban areas of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: On Thursday, a lockdown has been announced in all the urban areas of Madhya Pradesh, due to increasing cases of coronavirus. According to the new announcement, there will be a lockdown in the urban areas of the state from 6 pm Saturday to 6 am Monday. This weekend lockdown has come in Madhya Pradesh, when new cases of corona infection are continuously coming up in the state. Earlier on Wednesday evening, the lockdown was announced on Sunday in all urban areas.

Till Thursday morning, more than 4,000 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of infections here has reached 3.18 lakh. Here in Indore and Bhopal, the highest number of corona cases are being reported every day.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that ‘appropriate steps’ will be taken for the cities where corona cases are increasing in the state. We are building containment zones in big cities. He said that it would be ensured that these containment zones be completely closed.

Shivraj Singh said that ‘efforts are being made to provide one lakh beds for Covid-19 patients in hospitals and Kovid centers in the state. There is no shortage of oxygen supply. Gujarat has been talked about for uninterrupted oxygen supply. Oxygen supply is being provided from Bhilai.
