Nasal vaccine trial approved

New Delhi: The first phase of vaccination has started in India on 16 January. So far, two vaccines have been approved for vaccination. Now India has approved another vaccine nasal trial. The Expert Committee has allowed the first and second phase trials of Bharat Biotech.

This vaccine is given through the nose, while the two vaccines approved in India (Covishield, Covaxine) so far are being injected on the arm. It is said that the first and second phase of this vaccine will be tried in Nagpur.

According to Dr. Krishna Illa of Bharat Biotech, his company has tied up with Washington University. Only one dose will be required instead of two in this vaccine. Research has found that this is a very good option. Vaccinated vaccine is better than injected vaccine.
