More than 40 cases of Delta Plus variant in India

New Delhi: In the second wave of coronavirus in the country, the delta variant of the virus caused havoc, now there is fear about its delta plus variant. It is being said that the third wave in the country can come due to this variant. So far more than 40 cases infected with this variant have been reported, in which the maximum number of cases are in Maharashtra.

Medical experts say that Delta Plus is a ‘variant of concern’. At present, the cases of Delta Plus variant are not only in the three states of Kerala, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. These are being found in other states as well, but they are being found in a scattered way. So far 21 patients have been found in Maharashtra, 6 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Kerala, 3 in Tamil Nadu and 1 each in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Let us tell you that there was a press briefing of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday evening, in which health officials gave information about this new variant. During the press briefing, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan told that Delta Plus variant is presently in 9 countries – UK, US, Japan, Russia, India, Portugal, Switzerland, Nepal and China. He said that a letter has been written to the states asking how to deal with the Delta Plus variant. We do not want the Delta Plus variant to go ahead. Experts believe that the Delta Plus variant can cause the third wave of corona in the country.
