At the same time, due to increasing cases of Covid-19, the Varanasi district administration has announced a weekend lockdown on Saturday and Sunday. Banaras will remain completely closed on both days. Only shops of milk, bread, fruits and vegetables will be allowed to open . Liquor shops and bars will also be closed for two days. Restrictions will also be applicable on religious places.
