Largest jump in corona infection in India, 2293 new cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours in India, 2293 new cases of corona infection have been reported while 71 people have died. According to the report released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday morning, the number of total corona-infected patients in the country has crossed 37 thousand. At the same time, the total death toll has increased to 1218. According to the Health Ministry report, the number of active patients in India has increased to 26167. At the same time 9950 people have been discharged / cured.

The lockdown was announced across the country from 25 March following the growing threat of corona infection. The government first extended it to 14 April and then to 3 May. Now it has been extended for two weeks and till May 17. Despite this, however, cases of infection continue to increase.

It is worth mentioning that the Central Government made a state-wise division of the red, orange, green zone of the corona transition before the second phase of the lockdown implemented on Friday ended. Accordingly, the government has also decided to give some relaxation in different areas. 130 districts across the country have been declared as Red Zone, 284 as Orange Zone and 319 as Green Zone.
