In Shimla, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the Centre is well prepared to deal with a probable third wave of COVID-19. Thakur is on a five-day ‘Jan Ashirwaad Yatra’ in Himachal Pradesh, where he was born.
According to the article, Anurag Thakur said that a provision of 23,123crores had been established for this reason. He stated that a specific focus is on improving pediatric care because of concerns that the third wave would disproportionately harm youngsters. Children may be affected by the third wave of COVID-19, according to some scientists. According to the Union health ministry, India has reported 3,23,58,829 COVID-19 cases and 4,33,589 fatalities owing to the disease.

Some scientists have cautioned that the third wave of COVID-19 may have a greater impact on youngsters, while others have dismissed this idea. On Thursday, Thakur began his ‘Jan Ashirwaad Yatra’ from Parwanoo in the Solan area. He would travel 623 kilometers through eight districts in the hill state, visiting four Lok Sabha constituencies and 37 assembly segments.
Several other Union Ministers, including Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy RK Singh, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was recently inducted into the Cabinet in July, have begun their Jan Ashirwad Yatra.
