Gorakhpur: The first case of death due to corona virus has been reported in Uttar Pradesh. The young man who died during treatment at the BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur was Corona positive.
There has been a stir from Gorakhpur to Basti after a confirmed report from KGMU Lucknow. All doctors, paramedical staff and attendents who have come in contact with the patient have been quarantined or isolated.
The people whom this youth came in contact with in Gorakhpur and Basti are being searched. It is feared that many people may be infected due to this.
The young man died in the ICU of BRD Medical College on Monday morning. He was admitted to the trauma center earlier on Sunday night by his family members complaining of breathlessness. He was shifted from there to ward number 14 of the department of medicine, where he died on Monday morning.
According to the sources, the hospital staff was agitated as soon as they came to know about this and they started creating a ruckus against the hospital treatment because the dying person was not being treated as a corona patient and a lot of hospital staff came in contact with him. While the hospital administration says that his attendants did not give complete information about the patient.
