New Delhi: The anti-corona drug developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has been approved for emergency use for patients. This drug comes in the sachets like a powder, which can be easily dissolved in water. During the research, a large number of people taking these drugs were found to be negative in the RTPCR tests. The country’s largest drug regulator has cleared this anti-corona drug amidst record deaths from corona in the country and more than 4 lakh cases daily.
The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the emergency use of this drug on Corona patients. The name of this medicine is 2-DG (deoxy D glucose). This medicine can be given to patients on the advice of doctors and under the protocol of treatment. DRDO’s lab INMAS has developed this drug in collaboration with Dr. Reddy’s Lab. This drug helps the hospitalized corona patient recover faster and reduces his dependence on oxygen. This medicine can be given during treatment to moderate and severe patients of corona.
