New Delhi: The graph of deaths due to coronavirus in India is continuously increasing upwards. Again on Sunday, more than four thousand deaths occurred while more than 4 lakh new COVID-19 cases were registered. So far in the month of May, more than 34 thousand people have lost their lives from this epidemic.

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday morning, 4,03,738 new cases have been reported in India in the last 24 hours and 4092 patients have died due to the deadly virus. Today is the second consecutive day when the figure of deaths has been recorded beyond 4 thousand.

The total number of cases of corona infection in the country has reached above 22.2 million, while 2,42,362 people have lost their lives due to the virus so far. In the last 24 hours, 3,86,444 patients have been cured while so far 1,83,17,404 people have managed to recover from corona infection. The number of active cases in the country is 37,36,648. At the same time, the infection rate is at 21.64 percent.

In the last 24 hours, people have been given 20,23,532 doses of vaccine. At the same time, a total of 16,94,39,663 doses have been given so far. Whereas 18,65,428 tests have been done in the last 24 hours.
