Covid-19: IMA said, community transmission started in India

New Delhi: Corona virus continues to wreak havoc in India. According to the latest data, there are more than 10 lakh 77 thousand cases of corona virus in the country. In India, infection cases crossed the 1 million mark earlier this week. Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association has said that community transmission has started in India and the situation is very bad.

In an interview, Dr. VK Monga, chairman of the Indian Medical Association (Hospital Board of India), said, “Corona is growing at a fatal pace in India. More than 30 thousand corona cases are coming out every day. Corona has also spread to the village which is a bad signal. All this shows that the community spread has started. ”He said that it would be very difficult to control the corona in the village.

VK Monga said that corona control is now being done in Delhi, but rural areas of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Madhya Pradesh may become new hotspots in the coming times.

Covid-19 cases in India may peak in mid-September and now the main task should be to prevent the virus from spreading, especially in villages where two-thirds of the country’s population lives. President of Public Health Foundation of India, Prof. K. Srinath Reddy made this statement on Saturday (July 18).
