New Delhi: The Kashmiris are not going to get any exemption under the third phase of the lockdown because in view of the increasing cases, the entire Kashmir valley has been considered as red zone. Although one district comes in Green and some also in Orange, the administration does not want to take any risk.
The Union Health Ministry has declared only four districts in the Kashmir division as red zones, but officials said on Saturday that the entire valley will be seen as a red zone and no exemption of any kind is allowed except in essential cases will be given. Explain that it has been decided to extend the national lockdown for two more weeks from Monday.
Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir P.K. Pol said there is little difference between the Red and Orange zones. He said that we cannot relax this time. All ten districts of the valley will be considered as red zones till further orders.
Pol said that we have only one district, which has been declared a green zone. Although Pulwama may be a green zone, some new cases have also come to light here.
