New Delhi: Corona is spreading at an extremely dangerous pace in the electoral state of Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Union Territory of Puducherry. The situation is that in the last one week, the rate of getting infected by the corona test in these states has doubled.
The worst situation is that of Puducherry, under the administrative control of the Center. In the Corona testing that took place on April 12, infection was confirmed in every 7th person. Of this 3451 tests were done, out of which 512 were found positive. However, on April 6, just 23 days out of 3018 samples, only 237 were infected.
West Bengal and Kerala, considered to be at the forefront of electoral stirring, received infection in almost every 8th sample. In Monday’s test data, 4511 out of 37166 tests in West Bengal confirmed the infection, while only 2058 out of 29394 samples taken on 6 April were infected.
During this period, the rate of infection increased from 7% to more than 12.53%. Out of 45417 testing conducted in Kerala on Monday, 5692 samples were corona infected, while on 6th, the rate of infections was less than half. Of the 59051 tests that took place in the state that day, only 5.93% were infected.
In Tamil Nadu also, the rate of infections increased from 4.5 percent to 8.08 percent as compared to the testing conducted in a week. Out of 82982 sample test conducted in the state on 12 April, 6711 confirmed the infection while on 6 April only 3645 samples out of 80856 were infected.
