Lucknow: The outbreak of corona infection continues in Uttar Pradesh, the number of deaths is increasing continuously. In the state today, 6,074 new cases were registered in one day. UP Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that 71 people died due to covid in the last 24 hours. At present, the number of active cases in the state has gone up to 58595.
So far 190818 people have been discharged, while 3762 people have died due to infection so far. So far, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 2,53,175, while today 5,006 people have been discharged.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to increase covid-19 testing capacity in the state at the earliest and to take one and a half lakh tests per day. Yogi said that until an effective drug or vaccine is developed by covid-19, maximum testing is the biggest weapon against it. Therefore, efforts should be continued to increase the testing work.
