New Delhi: Despite the strictness in India, the number of patients getting infected by the new strain is continuously increasing.

The Health Ministry on Friday informed that four new people have been found infected with the new strain. This has brought the number of people infected with the new strain to 29 in the country. As of Tuesday, the number of people infected with the new strain in the country was just six.

According to the Ministry of Health, so far a total of 107 samples have been reported, of which 29 have been found infected with new UK strains. Out of 29, maximum 10 cases were found in Bengaluru lab and 8 positive cases in Delhi lab. While 5 infected have been found in Pune.

A senior Health Ministry official said that strict instructions have been given to the states by the government regarding the new strain virus. In addition, wherever mutant virus patients are being found, people are being sent into isolation by tracking the same quarantine as well as the chain of people coming in contact with them.

Dr. VK Paul, member of NITI Aayog and chairman of Corona Task Force on new strain virus infection, has said that the chain of new strains is small. Due to this, precautions have been taken from the beginning. Due to this, people are being given treatment by creating a container zone under strict quarantine rules to reduce its spread. This new strain from Britain can infect people 70 percent faster than the corona virus.
