Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has ruled out the possibility of any kind of trade with India in the current situation. At the same time, there has been talk of meeting the shortage of sugar and cotton in the country from anywhere.
According to the Dawn newspaper, Imran Khan held a meeting with some cabinet members on Friday. They have decided that in the current circumstances Pakistan cannot do any kind of trade with India. After the meeting, PM Imran Khan has directed the Commerce Ministry and members of their economic advisory team to take immediate steps to make arrangements for sugar and cranium. He has said that cheap imports of essential commodities such as cotton and sugar etc. should be made from any other country. Let us know that sugar is currently being sold in Pakistan around 100 rupees per kg.
Pakistan has already refused to import sugar and cotton from India on Thursday. Earlier, the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet of Pakistan recommended the import of sugar and cotton from India, on which the cabinet was to be given the final seal, but the PM of Pakistan did not approve the committee’s recommendation.
