No new scheme for one year

New Delhi: An order has been issued by the Ministry of Finance that no new scheme will be approved by the Central Government for one year. The Finance Ministry order also states that the expenditure on new schemes has been withheld for one year. On behalf of the Finance Ministry, all ministries have been asked to stop sending requests for new schemes to the Finance Ministry. Because no new plan will be spent this year. In principle approval will not be given to any new scheme till 31 March 2021 until further orders in this financial year. Orders in this regard will be issued after 31 March 2021.

It has been told by the Ministry of Finance that this year only the Prime Minister will be allowed to spend in the announcements made under the Poor Welfare Package and the recently brought self-reliant India policies. The Finance Ministry stated that no other plans will be approved in this financial year (2020-21).
