If you are reading news and reports that claim that many public sector banks have increased the charges of withdrawing and depoisting money from 1 November, then let us give you some fresh air.
All such news are fake as the central government has released a clarification for the same.
Due to the pandemic, in March, the finance ministry allowed for a three-month waiver on cash withdrawal from any other bank ATM.
You might be aware how banks allow only a restricted number of free withdrawals before charging a fee.
Also, minimum balance requirement is different for various banks. The waiver period that was announced in March had expired in June.
There is no increase in charges for regular savings accounts, current accounts, cash credit accounts and overdraft accounts, says the latest reliable report.
Now you can enjoy the festive season without having the need to worry.
