Govt cannot do anything to control the rising petrol-diesel price: Petroleum Minister

New Delhi: In many states of the country, the price of petrol is going to reach Rs 100 per liter, while the price of petrol in Madhya Pradesh has crossed 100. In this case, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan of the Narendra Modi government at the Center has clearly stated in the Rajya Sabha that the government cannot do anything to control the price.

According to The Week, the price of power petrol in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal has gone up by Rs 100 to 4 paise per liter. Apart from this, the price of common petrol has also reached close to Rs 96.39 per liter.

Talking about the price of diesel in Madhya Pradesh, the price is 86 rupees 84 paise per liter. It is clear that if any state has the highest price of petrol in the country then it is the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Let us know that since the presentation of the budget on February 1, it has been seen for the sixth time. The fuel price has increased 17 times since January 1. In the last few days, petrol prices have increased by about Rs 1.90 per liter, while diesel prices have increased by about Rs 2 per liter.

Madhya Pradesh charges the highest fuel tax compared to all the states of the country and this is the reason why the price of petrol and diesel in Madhya Pradesh is higher than any other states at this time. Madhya Pradesh has imposed a tax of 39 percent on petrol and 28 percent on diesel.
