Citizens can now receive their PAN card digitally through CSC by uploading all relevant papers and the PAN card would be mailed to the citizen’s residence address within 24 hours of application, according to a statement from CSC.

“LIC policyholders can apply for the IPO because the government has decided to cut its holdings by bringing in the LIC IPO this year.

“In order to do so, they must link their PAN card to their LIC policy and register a demat account.” CSC can assist over 30 crore LIC policyholders in obtaining a demat account, which will let them apply for shares more easily,” said CSC SPV Managing Director Dinesh Tyagi.

Around four lakh CSC centres across the country would offer the service.

The VLE who operates the CSC centre will assist residents in filing their personal information such as name, e-mail, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, PAN Card, Aadhaar, address, and bank data through the Digital Seva Portal.

The web camera also captures a photograph of the citizen. The form is submitted after the e-sign process for the demat account is completed, and the citizen receives a notification indicating that the submission was successful. Credentials for demat and trading accounts will be sent to the citizen’s e-mail address.
