New Delhi: Small businesses in the country are bringing e-commerce portal to compete with e-commerce portal owned by foreign companies. The logo of this portal titled Bhartimarket has been released today. It was released by Union Commerce Minister Som Prakash along with some business leaders. We have plans to make it live by next December.
The Confederation of All India Traders, an organization representing billions of entrepreneurs in the country, has described the ambitious e-commerce portal ‘Bharat Market’ as a revolutionary step. The portal (CAIT) said the portal would free India’s business and e-commerce business from the clutches of foreign companies in the country’s e-commerce business. CAT has announced that it will not sell any goods manufactured in China at the India Market Portal.
After releasing the logo through video conferencing, he said that this step would definitely serve as the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the natives and the dream of a self-sufficient India. He said in clear words that the government has decided to make the e-commerce business available to all. The government does not tolerate the deregulation of any e-commerce company. If any company violates government policies, it must be prepared to face tough action.
“There has been a significant increase in online trade during the lockout,” said Praveen Khandelwal, national president of BC Bhartiya and All India Traders Federation. The e-commerce business in India was 7% above Covid, which is now 24%. 42% of Internet users in urban areas are now doing their shopping through e-commerce. However, merchandise stores continue to play an important role in the economy. No one can delete them. However, e-commerce is a new form of business which requires the country’s merchants to adopt it as additional business.
