Bharti Enterprises-led low earth orbit (LEO) broadband satellite communications company OneWeb has now successfully received all important regulatory approvals.

The company’s chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that from mid-December 2020 to October 2021, they will introduce around 360 satellites and come up with a global satellite constellation to give improved broadband and other services to nations all across the globe.

The company has plans to launch commercial broadband services from May-June 2022.

Also, it aims to reach out to locations all over the world like remote or hilly areas where such facilities are not accessible.

OneWeb, which will remain to be headquartered in the UK has also announced a new management with Mittal as the executive chairman and Neil Masterson as the chief executive officer.
