New Delhi: Banks will be closed for 13 days in the month of August. In such a situation, it is important for you to know on which days the banks will be open and closed on which day. Next month there will be so many holidays throughout the month due to Baqrid, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day and then Weekend. The bank holiday will begin with Baqrid holiday and will end on Onam festival falling on 31 August.

The Reserve Bank of India has released a list of holidays. Through this list, you can easily know on which days banks will be closed and on which days they will be open. However, there will be separate holidays in the states. 6 out of 13 holidays are due to festivals only. August 1 is the holiday of Baqrid and the next day is Sunday. After this, Raksha Bandhan is on 3 August The second Saturday on August 8 and Sunday on August 9.

This is followed by Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 11 August and Independence Day on 15 August. On 16 August, Sunday is Teej (Haritalika) on 21 August and Ganesh Chaturthi on 22, fourth Saturday. This is followed by Sunday on 23 August, Sunday on 30, Muharram and Onam on 31 August.
