“The Bhagavad Gita Song” composed by Vishal Khurana has a remarkable importance in the Sushmita Sen-starrer web series “Aarya”.
The song has made use of the verses of Bhagavad Gita in the climax where Aarya can be seen dealing with the betrayal from her family.
The song has linked Aarya’s character with Mahabharat, where one can see Aarya trying to choose between her Dharam towards the family and her Karam.
The song has been co-produced by Siddhanth Madhvani, who has also played electric guitar, acoustic guitar, charango and steel drums.
Karma and Dharma towards one’s family is stressed more at the climax of the web series, which is family crime-thriller drama.
Co-creator and co-director Ram Madhvani shared: “The verses of the Bhagavad Gita have been with me as a child. I have been seeing them on my father’s bookshelf and then on my father-in-law’s bookshelf too. I carry the Gita in my bag and learn more from it every time I re-read it.”
For the unaware, the Bhagavad Gita is a dialogue between Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide and charioteer Krishna. During the beginning of the Dharma Yudhha between Pandavas and Kauravas, Arjuna becomes very emotional as he has to fight with his extended family to win the battle. Krishna comes to the rescue of Arjuna and their conversation of what is right and wrong in life constitute the Bhagavad Gita.
