Late Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor had expressed his wish to feature in a remake movie of a Gujarati film along with his son who is also an actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Rishi passed away this year, just few weeks after the discussions had started for both the father-son duo to feature in the remake film.
A report says that Rishi had loved the original film titled Chaal Jeevi Laiye and even encouraged Ranbir to act with him in the movie.
Ritesh Laalan, CEO of the production company behind Chaal Jeevi Laiye told to a media outlet that they were in talks with Rishi’s manager in March just before the countrywide lockdown started. And sadly, Rishi passed away after some months.
Rishi and Ranbir’s on-screen bonding has been loved by the masses in Besharam film, although the film bombed at the box office.
The film Chaal Jeevi Laiye is about a workaholic man who goes on a vacation with his seriously ill father to complete his last wish.
In fact, it is the highest grossing Gujarati film ever and had earned between Rs 40 and 50 crore from theatres’ collection.
