New Delhi: The special NDPS court in the drugs case has dismissed the custody petition of actress Riya Chakraborty and extended it till 6 October. On the other hand, Riya and her brother Shovik Chakraborty have filed a bail petition in the Bombay High Court.
Rhea Chakraborty was earlier taken into 14-day judicial custody after three days of questioning in the drug-rprobe that followed Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death. She was sent to prison and her bail plea was rejected by a magistrate court at that time.
Earlier today, Rhea and her brother Showik filed a bail plea in Bombay High Court. The plea will come up for hearing on 23 September.
Their lawyer Satish Maneshinde said in a statement, “Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty have filed an application for bail in the NDPS Case in Bombay High Court. It will come up for hearing on 23 September before Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The details of the bail applications will be shared after the hearing.”
