Auto Desk – Nissan will soon launch a new car derived from the seven-seater Renault Triber in the country. In June 2019, the Renault Triber was launched in India and is underpinned by the CMF-A+ platform.
It is powered by a 1.0-liter petrol engine which offers 71bhp and 96Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit.
New Nissan 7-Seater MPV could get a handful of cosmetic changes to differentiate it from others. It can get a new front grille along with re-profiled bumpers. Also, can get a new design for the wheel covers.
Moreover, its cabin gets a new theme with different fabric upholstery and it is equipped with features such as a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, rear aircon vents, and multiple storage options.
Notably, launch timings and other details of the Triber-based car are yet to be announced.
Besides that, Renault sells only three models — Kwid, Triber, and Kiger — in India based on the CMF-A+ platform. The Tribe has scored a 4-star NCAP safety rating ( adult occupant protection) and a 3-star ( child occupant protection)
