Auto Desk – Maruti Suzuki has rolled out a software update for the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system in the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The updates include support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The OTA (Over The Air) update is available for the Zeta and Alpha variants of the Baleno.
The wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation for the heads-up display and MID is all newly added features.
To recall, Maruti Suzuki introduced the same features on the Brezza through an OTA update this year. We can expect it could be offered on other models in the future.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Maruti Suzuki Baleno was launched in February 2022 and comes in a new tech-savvy avatar targeting young buyers. It has first-in-segment features like a head-up display, Suzuki Connect, and a 360-degree view camera.
The head-up display gives all the driving essentials to avoid distraction, and 360 degrees View Camera helps in parking.
The Baleno comes with an Advanced KSeries Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine offering [email protected] torque and peak power of [email protected] It claims 22.35 km/l for the manual transmission variant and 22.94 km/l for the AGS variant. It also offers a 5-speed manual and improved Auto Gear Shift (AGS) transmission.
For safety, it offers 6 airbags, anti-hill control, and more. It has a wider front grill with the branding of the Suzuki logo, DRL tail lamps, and alloy wheels.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno Price
It comes with a starting price of ₹6.5 lakh and comes in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The top-end model is Rs ₹9.49 lakh
