Auto Desk – Jawa Motorcycles has launched its special edition version of the 42 christened ‘Tawang Edition’ at the Torgya Festival. The production will be limited to just 100 units and made exclusively for customers from Arunachal Pradesh and neighboring regions.
The torgya festival is celebrated by the Monpa community of Arunachal Pradesh to welcome the new year.
The Jawa 42 Tawang Edition takes inspiration from Lungta a mythical wind horse from this region. It has a Lungta motif on the fuel tank and front fender with other inscriptions. It also gets a unique numbered bronze medallion to mark the special edition units.
The motorcycle is powered by a 294.72cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, 27 bhp, and 26.84 Nm of peak torque. It is suspended on a telescopic fork and twin shocks.
This special edition Jawa 42 2.1 costs a whopping Rs 20,000 more than the standard bike in Arunachal Pradesh. The bike currently costs Rs 1,94,142.
