New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has canceled his visit to Bengal on Friday due to a meeting to review the situation of Corona in the country. He was going to West Bengal to campaign in the assembly elections. The Prime Minister gave this information in a tweet. He wrote, ‘Tomorrow I will participate in a high-level meeting to review the situation of Covid-19. Due to this, I am not going to West Bengal.
This is the first time that the Prime Minister has canceled his West Bengal tour for campaigning. He had to address rallies here. At a time when the country is facing the second wave of Corona, the meetings of PM and other BJP leaders and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee are gathering a lot of crowd, which has increased the risk of spreading Corona infection.
Significantly, after the cancellation of his election meetings by Rahul Gandhi, continuous questions were being raised all over the country when the election meetings of the BJP leaders continued. At first, it was said that only 500 people were allowed in Prime Minister Modi’s election meetings and now three of his election meetings have been canceled.
