Bulandshahr (UP): A minor girl ended her life by hanging herself at her lover’s residence in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Saturday. Her lover, also a minor, consumed poison and was admitted to hospital.

The girl had an affair with the boy who lives in her neighbourhood. She had gone to his residence and hanged herself from the ceiling of his room on Friday night. On seeing the girl committing suicide, the boy consumed poison and tried to commit suicide. The girl was found hanging from the ceiling on Saturday morning. The motive for the suicide could not be learnt, the police said, adding that the body of the girl was sent for a post-mortem and the case being investigated.
