New Delhi: Thousands of Congress workers took part in “Mehangai Par Halla Bol” held at Ramlila ground in Delhi on Sunday. Although the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that it was nothing but Rahul Relaunch-4, the crowd that gathered at the rally was a wake-up call for the ruling party. Reacting to BJP’s jibe, a Congress leader said that it was different from Launch Modi-2014 when it raised those issues that they could not solve in the past eight years. He further said that the Congress’ rally had nothing to do with “Jumlas.” The party raised real issues like price, unemployment and inflation.

Congress leader and MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi who took part in the rally tore into the BJP. Hatred among people, the fear of inflation, the number of unemployed youths and the prices of essential commodities have been increasing in the country since the BJP came to power, Rahul Gandhi said.

The BJP and its parent organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are trying to divide the country and only two industrialists are benefiting from this fear and hatred, he said. The Congress supporters began to arrive at Ramlila ground for the rally from the morning on Sunday, so the Delhi police made adequate security arrangements. The rally was held before the Congress’ 3,500-km Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir from September 7.
