Patna: Many leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tore into Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday for his entry into Vishnupad temple in Gaya with Information and Technology Minister Mohammad Israil Mansoori. The minister said that he was fortunate enough to enter the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) of Vishnupad temple with the Chief Minister. The temple has set up a committee to probe the incident. Sources in the temple said that there is a notice at the gate that non-Hindus are not allowed to get into the temple, but Mansoori entered there.

BJP legislator Haribhushan Thakur Bachual said it was a heretic act of Mansoori to enter the temple, because there is a notice at the gate of the temple that the non-Hindus are not allowed to enter there and Kumar is answerable for it. General secretary of the BJP’s Other Backward Classes wing Nikhil Anand said that Kumar does not believe in the traditions of Sanatan Dharma. Anand further said that if Kumar was suffering secular-ities he should go to Mecca and offer Namaz there.
