Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claimed on Saturday that if his party is elected to power in Punjab, it will abolish corruption in government posts.

He posted a video on twitter stating that, “Young people in Punjab are being driven to leave and travel overseas. These folks are forced to sell their properties for as little as Rs 20-25 lakh rupees. What would happen to Punjab if this continues? This will not be allowed to happen. If the AAP forms a government, it will put an end to corruption in government jobs.”

Kejriwal also slammed the state’s Opposition parties, claiming that the Congress’ 26-year rule and the Shiromani Akali Dal’s 19-year control had devastated Punjab. He stated that if AAP comes in power, they will improve the industries and basic facilities in the state like Delhi.

Kejriwal previously stated that if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is elected to power, no new taxes will be imposed in the state. “No new tax will be imposed in Punjab after we take power,” Kejriwal claimed a few days ago in Jalandhar. If elected, Kejriwal vowed that the AAP government would start providing doorstep delivery and establish Mohalla clinics.
