Dubai: Kings XI Punjab captain KL Rahul made the first century of the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League. He batted strongly against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second match of the tournament, scoring an unbeaten 132 runs off 69 balls with 14 fours and 7 sixes. His century helped Punjab score 206 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs.
KL Rahul hit a six in the first two balls of the 18th over and then hit a four, adding a second century of IPL career. He is the first batsman to score a century in IPL 2020. With this, he has overtaken Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina in the matter of scoring a century. The names of these two batsmen are one each.
Not only this, KL Rahul completed 2000 runs in the IPL with the last ball of the first over in the match being taken for 4 runs off the boundary line. He is the 32nd cricketer to do so.
