Pakistan invites England for T20 series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited England to play a series of three T20 matches in January next year. PCB CEO Wasim Khan revealed this. England made their last visit to Pakistan in 2005-06. The team then toured Pakistan for the Test and ODI series.

“Yes, we have sent an official invitation to the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) to play a series of three T20 matches between 13 and 20 January,” Wasim Khan told a Pakistani TV channel. He clarified that The tour has nothing to do with the Pakistan team’s tour of England this year.

Wasim Khan said, “When we decided to send the team to England, we were concerned about the Kovid-19 and the bio-safe environment. Apart from this, some people had expressed concern that with this we can put our players in danger. It was not easy for us when ten of our players were found positive before the tour. “

He said that it is now up to the England Cricket Board to decide on his invitation. Wasim Khan said, “We never discussed the tour to Pakistan in return but now we have sent an invitation to the ECB.” Now they have to assess the safety and circumstances of the Kovid-19 before taking any decision. We are confident that his team will tour Pakistan. “
