New Delhi: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has arrived in India on a two-day visit. Today he is in Delhi. Boris Johnson thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the grand welcome on the second day of his visit to India and said, “I thank PM Modi and the people of India for the grand welcome. I felt like Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan when I saw their hoardings all around. PM of both India and the UK insisted on completing the Free Trade Agreement at the earliest to boost bilateral trade.

The British Prime Minister had reached Gujarat on Thursday. His meeting with the Indian Prime Minister is being linked to increasing defense manufacturing in India. Along with this, India and Britain also talked about renewable energy.

Addressing the media before the British Prime Minister, Indian PM Modi said, “While India is celebrating the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on the 75th year of independence, the visit of the British PM to India is historic. Accords, the Glasgow Climate Commitment and the need for a “free and open” Indo-Pacific should be implemented.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in Delhi that the UK is building a general export license focused on India to reduce red-tapism and reduce delivery times in defense procurement.

Boris Dawson said that Britain’s partnership with India is like a storm in a storm. A press release from the British High Commission said that Britain would collaborate with India to promote security in the Indo-Pacific, including new fighter jet technology, helicopters, and cooperation in the underwater battlefield.

Johnson said that India and Britain will also create a virtual hydrogen science and innovation hub in which affordable green hydrogen will be promoted. Also, the new funding will be given for the Green Grids announced in COP26. Apart from this, it was agreed to work together on the electrification of public transport in India.
