Veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar has expressed support for Aamir Khan and his decision to marry partner Gauri Spratt, dismissing criticism over the actor’s age.

Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt are reportedly set to tie the knot on July 5, 2026. This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage.

Reacting to the news, Rakhee said she was happy for the actor and praised the way he has maintained good relationships with his former wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.

She said that although she has never worked with Aamir Khan, she considers him a sincere person and admires how he has remained friends with both his former spouses even after their marriages ended.

Rakhee also rejected criticism about Aamir choosing to marry again at the age of 60.

“What is wrong with marrying at 60?” she asked, adding that age should not be a barrier to happiness or companionship.

The actress pointed to Robert De Niro as an example, noting that he became a father again in his 80s. She said a successful marriage is not determined by age and recalled that she married Gulzar when he was nearly 40 years old.

According to reports, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt are planning a private wedding ceremony at the actor’s residence. The couple is expected to keep the celebrations intimate, with only close family members and friends in attendance.

Reports also suggest that Aamir’s close friends from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, may attend the wedding if their schedules allow.
