Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is leading in the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. She is competing against Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, son of the late Virbhadra Singh.
Kangana Ranaut has been a supporter of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and PM Narendra Modi. Her decision to join politics was announced earlier this year.
The Mandi seat previously held by Ram Swaroop Sharma. Following his passing in 2021, a byelection saw the seat shift to Congress with Pratibha Singh, Vikramaditya’s mother.
Kangana’s great-grandfather, Sarju Singh Ranaut was an MLA. Now, all eyes are on Mandi to see if Kangana can secure her position.
