On a recent flight, Singapore Airlines experienced sudden severe turbulence, one killed and 70 injured.

The incident occurred on flight SQ321, traveling at an altitude of 37,000 feet when it encountered turbulence over the Irrawaddy Basin in Myanmar.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members. Due to the intense turbulence the aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Following the event, Goh Choon Phong, the CEO of Singapore Airlines, extended a heartfelt apology. In a video message, he expressed deep regret for the traumatic ordeal. The Phong, highlighted that the airline was working closely with authorities to investigate the incident thoroughly.
