Tips to avoid the stress of not getting Covid-vaccination

Coronavirus vaccines have been introduced in India since January 2021. Although the government has achieved the feat of injected over 20 crores of people of the country with the different doses of Covishield and Covaxin, there are many out there who are unable to get the vaccine jabs.

The reasons for not yet vaccinated differ from area to area, city to city, and state to state. However, some common reasons include non-availability of the vaccine stock in the nearby designated centers, inability to get a slot on the COWIN platform for getting the jab, lack of resources to stand in line/queue for hours to get a token to get the vaccine, non-availability of a nearby vaccination center.

Vaccines to fight against the deadly coronavirus disease are definitely a boon to the country. However, there are various issues in the supply and demand of the vaccine. Thus, panicking over this issue is not something good for your health. Your friends or relatives may be enquiring to you and some of them might have also got the vaccination done of both the doses, but if you haven’t even got the first dose of a vaccine, worrying and hurrying won’t help and be of use to you anyways.

Hence, you need to follow the steps that are required to get vaccinated at your nearby center/area. Whatever formalities they want you to do, you can get it done. For example, if you are asked to register on the COWIN platform and book a slot as and when you see a center, then follow the same. Even after repeated attempts if you are not getting a slot due to lack of availability of vaccines then it is definitely not your fault. So don’t feel low or sad. Train your mind to understand the fact that whenever the vaccines are available in your area and you are able to book a slot, that time you will go and get the shot. Till then relax and be patient.

Authorities are working towards the same and even if there is a delay think that you are a part of the majority of the population of the country who are yet to receive the doses of vaccines. So, be optimistic and follow all the necessary precautions to avoid getting the infection of coronavirus and even any other disease. Relax your mind with meditation techniques if you still feel depressed over the fact that you are not yet vaccinated. Listen to soothing music and feel hopeful that everything will work out for the best at the right time in your life.
