How to deal with relationship stress

Stress has become a common buzzword these days. The coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on everyone’s life in some or another way. It isn’t wrong to say that the pandemic has left us all quite vulnerable that we are getting stressed or worried about even small failures or downs in life.

If you find your relationship is going nowhere due to the constant fights or differences of opinions causing relationship rifts, then here are some ideas on how you can deal with the stress in your relationship.

1) Firstly do not get panicked or extremely worried even if your partner is threatening you to quit the relationship by walking away or asking you to leave his house. There are more extreme things that couples do go through in their marital life but that never stopped them from believing in “true love”.

2) If you really have loved your partner genuinely and he may or may not have the same feelings for you, you in no way have to worry as this is just a stumbling block in your relationship and will pass away as time goes by.

3) If you don’t feel comfortable living in your marital home, think of shifting to your parental home for a few weeks or months till the stress levels of you both your partners come down. Remember negative thoughts and actions will take you nowhere. If the relationship is meant to sustain, you will surely get back together even if you think this is the darkest hour of your life.

4) Practice relaxation techniques as much as possible. Do painting or coloring if you like or listen to soothing music for 1 hour a day. Meditation is also a good way to reduce your stress levels and help you get re-energized and refocus on other important aspects of your life other than your marriage.
